Set Up Microsoft MFA
Follow these steps to set up Microsoft Authenticator on your personal smartphone for sign-in to Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and more). Plan for about 5–10 minutes.
All steps complete. Microsoft Authenticator is now set up for your Parkchester account. You can close this window. The next time you sign in to Outlook, Teams, or Microsoft 365, approve the prompt in the Authenticator app on your phone.
Common issues & help
I can't scan the QR code
- Make sure Microsoft Authenticator has Camera permission in your phone settings.
- Increase screen brightness and reduce glare on the computer monitor.
- If you're using the same phone for the QR code and the app, open the portal on a computer instead so the code is larger.
I don't receive sign-in prompts
- Confirm your phone has internet access (Wi-Fi or cellular).
- Open Microsoft Authenticator manually — some prompts only appear after the app is open.
- Check that notifications are enabled for the app in your phone settings.
- On the sign-in screen, choose "I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now" and use the one-time code option if offered.
